Refund, Returns and Warranty Policy
This policy explains your rights and our obligations regarding returns, refunds, exchanges, warranties, and related costs when purchasing from Dakar. Please read it carefully before placing an order.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. Your Right to Cancel (UK Consumer Law)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days from the day you receive your goods, for any reason.
To exercise this right, you must notify us within the 14-day period.
2. Conditions for Returns
Returned items must:

Be unused and not installed, except where handling was necessary to inspect the item

Include original packaging, accessories, and documentation
Items marked as final sale are non-returnable unless faulty.
3. Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns for:

Products that have been installed, modified, or used beyond reasonable inspection

Items returned outside the statutory 14-day period
4. Inspection and Diminished Value
All returned items are inspected upon receipt.
If a product has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, or functioning, we may make a deduction from the refund to reflect any loss in value, as permitted under UK law.
Any deduction:

There is no automatic restocking fee.

If Dakar arranges collection, the following fees apply:

Collection fees are non-refundable.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described:

Dakar will cover all reasonable return and delivery costs

No deductions or fees will apply

You are entitled to a full refund or replacement, in line with UK consumer law
6. Faulty Goods and Warranty
If your product develops a fault:

You are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

Within the first 30 days, you may be entitled to a full refund

After this period, repair or replacement may be offered
Any manufacturer’s warranty is in addition to and does not replace your statutory rights.
A fault description or service report may be requested to help assess the issue.
